![]() ![]() Sure, if you believe the bible is the word if God. The Bible is the simplest thing for a simple person to understand and at the same time deeper and more complex than any human mind can grasp. Sure, I guess if you pick the parts that are the least demanding, best suited to your needs and ignore other parts, you could say that, but that's (again) not actual knowledge or something you couldn't get anywhere else. It's the instruction manual for being a good human. ![]() The Bible gives us lot of instruction on how to conduct ourselves, on morals, on right and wrong, good and evil. However, I just don't see it being accurately portrayed by AI. And that's really what we should be encouraging the younger ones to do imo! But again, I like the fact this person is seemingly honourable in their intentions. Like it says in Proverbs 4:7, wisdom's the main thing we should be after: "Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." What it's telling us is that it's not just about knowing stuff but actually understanding it.Īnd there's also Proverbs 25:2 that goes, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." This one's pretty much saying that it's a good thing to be curious and try to figure stuff out for ourselves. But here's where we run into a problem! Those young minds might just take what they're given as the whole truth and stop digging deeper for understanding and wisdom. I reckon the younger folks might be drawn more to this kind of digital format because it's what they're used to. Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. Incorporating the expertise of biblical scholars could potentially enhance the accuracy and reliability of these interpretations. Instead, I am emphasizing the potential for misinterpretation. ![]() I am not advocating for or against either interpretation. They should aim to maintain the nuance and complexity inherent in human problem-solving and interpretation. While the initiative to make religious texts more accessible is commendable, it is essential to ensure that the AI algorithms used for summarizing these texts provide accurate summations and don't skew towards a particular interpretation. Some believe the description of smoke darkening the sun is metaphorical, while others argue for a literal interpretation, suggesting it depicts real events that will transpire. This passage has incited considerable debate regarding its interpretation. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power." And he opened the bottomless pit and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. "And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. Take, for example, the passage from Revelation 9:1-3: The same ambiguity applies to the Book of Revelation. For instance, the Book of Job is perceived metaphorically by some, while others interpret it literally. However, it's crucial to remember that interpretations of religious texts, especially the Bible, can significantly differ among individuals. I trust that you've meticulously reviewed all the content.
